Portage Competition

The winds of change finally began to blow into the halls of the Portage High School on March 15th when the Storm won its very first back-to-back first place positions at the Hoosier Midwest Competition. 

First, the tiny storm that was brewing in the early morning hours saw spectacular facials and great teamwork as the Youth Rec squad created quite a stir with their awesome performance.

And, not to be outdone, the Senior Open finished off the day with great mounts, awesome smiles, and high quality entertainment for our viewing audience.

We had two brave Stormers attempt the Jump Off competition and are proud to say that Marissa from our Youth Rec squad placed first in her age group.

It has been a very long time since any of our Storm teams have scored as high as they did this past weekend and I speak for all of us when I say, we were able to accomplish so much, with so little, and in such a short time.

Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas, Brothers and Sisters, THANKS SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING OUR CLUB AND BEING THERE FOR YOUR BROTHER OR SISTER
IT MEANS SO MUCH TO US.

Light it up. Set it off, we are the Storm!

WELCOME
If you are visiting us for the first time because of one of our school flyers, a recommendation from one of our athletes, one of our banners or our past alumni, or you are one of the new members of The Storm Family who just Registered, Welcome!

You will find that our program is very unique to the area, and actually in the Sport of Cheer. We were founded in 2002 on the motto "For the Love of the Kids, For the Love of the Sport",
after SIX years as a program, that has not changed!

Practices will start after the 08-09 school year begins. We have found that parents and guardians alike have appreciated our honesty when they talk to us. They would rather be with a program that, instead of having a blanket price and fitting everyone into that category, or a business that offers Cheer as just one of the activities, our staff places the child in what is correct for them.

As trained volunteers giving their time in the community, our focus stays with our kids & with our sport! Check around, in five years there have been multiple local "businesses" that have either changed owners, management, or did not continue to offer the sport of Cheer because of their bottom line. As for The Storm...well we are going into our sixth season with Trained and Dedicated Volunteers.

When you do call us to discuss our program and how it can become a part of your Child's memories,
remember that our pricing includes:

Performance Fees
All Practice Fees
The Complete Custom Uniform (including bow and shoes)
Year End Banquet
Fundraising Fee (which you can fully earn back by the Banquet)

But there are other considerations that can not be measured, such as the Benefits each and every child will retain from our program since we are doing it as volunteers, along with them learning to be part of a Team, exercise that is fun, learning to trust in others,
and the ability to do something they love, around others,
including coaches, who love it also.

Depending on the squad you are assigned, practices can be up to twice a week. One of the practices is strictly Cheer and Dance,
the second is focused on tumbling skills.
